Every once in a while, I'm perplexed by the abbreviations used in IM away messages, SMS, etc. My business partner used "AFK" in his away message today, and I was scratching my head to figure out what it meant until I came across AFK, a site convenient named for my abbreviation affliction with what looks like just about every abbreviation in the shortcut book.
