Wiki Company Etymology, Part II

In a post I made yesterday, I noted that Wiki had a pretty interesting company etymology page, which shows the origin of such company names like Adidas, eBay, etc. Well, given that Wiki is a public encyclopedia, I thought why not post the origins of the two companies I am currently affiliated with (and helped found), Underscore Marketing and Pericles Consulting. Afterall, who’s to say that my company name origin isn’t more (or less) interesting or valuable than the likes of some of the larger entities on the list? All companies on that list started from somewhere, right? Well, that lasted for about 2 hours, as one of the Wikinazis decided that my very legitimate company origin descriptions (Underscore Marketing = To emphasize marketing; Pericles Consulting = Pericles was an Athenian statesman and the founder of the modern concept of democracy) were somehow a surrogate for advertising, and removed them. So much for a democratic entity.
